Difference between Fedora and CentOS
Fedora is an open-source Linux-based operating system developed and maintained
by the community-sponsored and supported by Fedora Project. It was established
in 2003 and initially, it was famous as Fedora core; later it was renamed
Fedora from Fedora core. It is developed mainly for the developers and the
system administrators. It is available free of cost.
It contains
around 20000 packages to make it efficient, secure, and user-friendly. It is
one of the stable and most popular Linux kernel-based operating systems. It has
an active worldwide community, which regularly works on its improvement. A new
update becomes available every 3-4 months.
